Every garden needs to be MALLEABLE. The plantings in the kitchen garden shifted along with menus, the seasons, and whims.
The wrench bench is comfortable to sit on and is the focal point at the end of a main axis. It also helps mark where the formal, tamed portion of the garden washes into the informal and natural contours of the landscape.
